I bought this pack as a gift for my mum's birthday. The picture, whilst it doesn't show it specifically, suggests that the kit comes in some sort of gift box. Nope. Mum sent me photos of the "box inside a box" and it covered her bench. It all looks recyclable, which is great, but at $100, I was expecting a little more care in the presentation and packaging. Surely you can create gift boxes that can be recycled, AND couriered without needing more boxes? I'm sure mum is enjoying her birthday gift, but she had to search for it all in the haystack of packaging.

Thanks for your feedback. I'm really sorry to hear that you've been disappointed by the way your order was packaged.
The gift box this was sent in is exactly the same as the pictures in the product listing. It is a kraft finish rigid gift box with a magnetic closing flap. We've opted for this kraft finish as a lot of the coated finish options in other colours can be difficult to recycle. We then use tissue paper to pack out the box and ensure the items enclosed are secured in transit. The gift box is then packaged in a courier box to ensure it doesn't arrive damaged and is ready to present as a gift.
We'd really love one day to have some smaller boxes custom-made to reduce the amount of tissue paper that is needed to pack out our gift boxes, but as we are a small business, this simply isn't an option for us currently. We love supporting other local companies and these gift boxes come from a NZ supplier and are only available in a limited range of sizes, this being the smallest option to fit these products.
The retail price if you were to purchase these items individually is $108 so the $99 gift bundle saves you $9 + has the added benefit of the gift packaging.
